"I simply cannot say enough good things about my experience with Nova Roofing. I had to replace my roof due to hail damage. This was my first time doing a project from a home insurance claim, and I was apprehensive about the process. Nova Roofing is truly exceptional and made the process easy to navigate. The owner, Mr. Harmel, clearly takes great pride in his business; he is very hands-on in every step of the project and ensures that the process goes smoothly. The project kicked off with Mr. Harmel coming out to do a free inspection. He explained how the general process works and how Nova Roofing does business. Next, he reviewed the scope of work from my insurance adjuster and answered my many questions about the damage, the project, and the insurance process. He also contacted my insurance adjuster directly throughout the project to make sure they were on the same page and that nothing that should have been covered got missed. My insurance issued a check with both myself and my mortgage company on it. To get my mortgage company to endorse the check there were several hoops to jump through including getting some additional documentation from Nova Roofing. Mr. Harmel helped navigate my bank's request and got the documents to me very quickly. Mr. Harmel took the time to go over each item on the contract with me and review all the color options for the roof and gutters. When his local supplier didn't have my first choice for gutter color in stock he went the extra mile to find that color in stock an hour away in Waco. He also explained the difference between 3-Tab and Architectural Shingles, and upgraded my roof to 30-Year Architectural Shingles for free. Materials were delivered the day before the install and Mr. Harmel kept me up to date with when the delivery was expected so I could be prepared and have my driveway clear for the forklift. The roof install itself was done in a single day including both the house and my shed. The crew was excellent and Mr. Harmel came onsite both during the install and after to do a post install inspection. Everything was cleaned up really well after the install, no trash or materials were left behind. Two days later the new gutters were installed in just a couple of hours. Samuel installed the gutters and recommended removing an extra downspout on the front of the house. Mr. Harmel provided a very thorough explanation of why the downspout was not needed given the slope of the roof in that area and the length of the gutter run on the front of the house, which helped me feel confident in the decision to remove it. This has been a trend throughout the project. Mr. Harmel's willingness to talk shop and thoroughly explain each decision has been truly wonderful. It's rare to find a professional that is not only willing to explain their reasoning in-depth, but is also able to explain it in a way that makes sense to a novice. Mr. Harmel will not only make sure your new roof is in perfect condition, he'll make sure you learn about roofing along the way, making me a more competent homeowner in the process.
